Open Morning and visits

Seeing the school in action gives prospective parents and pupils a real feel for what Heriot's has to offer.

On Saturday 3 October 2020 at 10:00 the Open Morning film will be available to watch on this website. We hope you enjoy it (sadly we are unable to open our doors to the public for a live event this year).

The film gives a deliberately short flavour of what George Heriot’s offers. It is open for anyone to watch – there is no need to log in or book a time. The film will remain on the website for several weeks and we hope it encourages you to want to visit the school.

From end September 2020, families are invited to come for individual visits to see the school ‘in action’. While visits currently offer limited access to the School, they will give you a chance to see key areas, meet leadership and admissions staff and ask any questions you may have.

Visitors will be limited to a maximum of two people per visit (excluding under 12’s), will be required to wear masks, and sanitise before and on arrival. If visitors have tested positive within the past 14 days, or been instructed to self isolate by Track and Trace, had any COVID symptoms within the past 48 hours or been to a quarantined country in the past 14 days, they are kindly asked to re-arrange their visit.

Please contact the Admissions Office to make arrangements for your visit.

Heriot’s is proud to welcome children from all walks of life. Means tested financial assistance is available to help with school fees, including fully-funded places for children who have lost a parent, through our Foundation.
