Three Heriot’s pupils have qualified for the National UK finals of the Matrix Challenge. They are amongst the best 72 competitors, out of 65,259 11 to 17 year old applicants throughout the UK.

The challenge is a cyber security competition run by the Police Organised Crime Units throughout the UK. The Challenge covered 5 key topics, CMA 1990, staying safe online, steganography, fault finding in lines of code and cracking a cipher, and also also included a timed multiple choice quiz.
