The Edinburgh and Midlothian Schools Swimming Championships took place last Sunday, at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre. Heriot’s had a strong squad of both primary and secondary pupils attend this event. There were some great swims by the primary pupils in the morning session. The secondary sessions in the afternoon also had some strong individual performances by a number of swimmers. There was also highlights in the relay competition with the 14-15 Girls gaining a bronze medal and the Open girls putting in a great performance to win their category.

Eve Corrigan – Gold: 16-18 Girls 100m Freestyle
Rebecca Shulman – Silver: 16-18 Girls 100m Freestyle and Gold 16-18 Girls 200m Freestyle
Eilidh Redpath – Silver: 16-18 Girls 100m Backstroke
Sean Si-Griffiths – Gold: 12-13 Boys 100m Backstroke and Gold: 12-13 Boys 200m Backstroke
Ben Williamsom – Bronze: 12-13 Boys 200m Backstroke
Relay Team (Emily Durkie, Robyn Dickson, Molly Kidd, Isla Bathgate) – Bronze: 14-15 Girls 4×50 Freestyle
Relay Team (Eilidh Redpath, Abbi Sinclair, Becca Shulman, Eve Corrigan) – Gold: Open girls 4x50m Freestyle
