National Careers Week 2021

This week is National Careers Week and to support our pupils in finding their pathway to their future career, the Careers Department has organised various events.

With 34 SQA Subjects and two additional non-SQA Subjects on offer in the Senior School, pupils have the chance to uncover where their interests and abilities lie. We ask pupils to view Senior 5 and 6 as a coherent programme of study that should meet their aims for further study or work after Heriot’s.

Here is an overview of some of the events taking place this week, all of the information is available for pupils and parents on Firefly.

• On Wednesday 3 March, we will be also be hearing from Former Pupil Sophie Richardson, a production Manager for BBC Studios, in the next instalment of the After Heriot’s series.
• There are plenty of resources on Firefly for pupils to access and also on the National Careers Week website. 
• Staff members have been sharing their various career paths to inspire Heriot’s pupils as they think about future choices, you can see a few of the these in the Gallery below.
