Rithvik (P3) has won the British Under 8 Chess Blitz championship 2021 and has qualified to play in the grand finale of the British Chess championship (junior under 8) representing Scotland.
The tournament is taking place on October 2 and October 3 in Milton Keynes.
Rithvik also represents Scotland (Junior Under 8 Category) in the Delancey UK School challenge final.
There are various chess clubs at Heriot’s, split in to year groups (P4, P5, P6, P7) and a Senior group too. This is just one of many extra-curricular opportunities for Junior pupils to get involved in.
