Thinking Thursday Blog

On Thursday, we asked you “if you had to pick only one – would you rather be a singer or a dancer?” Read a sample of pupil answers below:

“I would be a great singer because then I could sing to old people and make their day.” Catherine

“I would rather be a great singer as I think more people listen to it and enjoy it as they can listen to it in the car, whilst there jogging or even doing the dishes. It would be a great experience and I would make people happy and more energised listening to it.” Lily

“I would choose to be a great singer because I already know how to play the piano and it would be a good combo to have and a crucial one in the later stages of my piano exams, lessons, etc.” Ezra

“Great singer, because people don’t have to see me to appreciate my superpower.” Angus

“I would prefer to be a great singer because there are less limits to what you can sing.” Jamie

“I would pick to be a great singer because I think the power of human voice is amazing and ‘music is the language of all languages.” Sophie

“I would prefer to be a great singer because music talks straight to the heart.” Edward

“I would rather be a great dancer because you could do lots of cool tricks!” Amy

“I would like to be both but if I have to choose I would be a great singer. It would take lots and lots of practice. I would be able to sing any song and I could make up all sorts of different kinds of songs. They would be happy songs and they would make people happy if they were sad. That would make me happy too.” Kara

“I would like to be a great dancer because when I dance to music it makes me feel happy and dancing makes me strong!” Sophia

“I would be a great dancer because if I was on an adventure and a baddie had captured someone I could distract them with my dancing so the person could escape.” Bridget

“I would like to be a great dancer because it keeps you fit and healthy and it is good for your muscles.” Anna

“I would like to be a great dancer because I like dancing… It makes me happy and I like to try out new moves!” Gus

“I want to be a great dancer. It makes me feel free in my own world.” Jonathan

“I would rather be a good dancer because I could go on Strictly Come Dancing and win the glitterball!” Noah
