THINKING THURSDAY BLOG

This week’s Thinking Thursday Question was aimed at Primary 4 to Primary 7 pupils, you can read some of the wonderful answers from the pupils below.

“is science about thinking or about doing?”

Primary 5

Both! First you have to think of an experiment then you have to prove that you can do it – Nathan

It’s about both. Because you think then do and see if it’s right – Daragh

Science is about both, you think and then you do

Science is about both because something you think…you do

It is both because it’s about thinking what you’re going to do

Both because you need to think before you do, you can’t really have one without the other…

I think science is about thinking, because you have to think before you do – Layla

Neither because science is about testing and experimenting

I think both because you think about it then you do it – Annabelle

Primary 7

I think that science is about thinking and doing because you have to think to do – Meena

I think that science is about both thinking and doing because you need to think about what you predict and then do (carry out) the experiment – Grace

Both because you think and they you do – Lianne, Millie & Jess

Thinking because when you do something your thinking to do it – Ross

Both, because to do something you need to think about it and to think about it you have to do the thinking – Tess

Doing because if you think you can’t experiment and then you can’t find out anything with experiment – Eve

I think science is about thinking because you have to think a lot about how it’s going to work and how it works – Amelie

I think both because you can do lots of one, but won’t make any progress until you do the other – Felix
