National Careers Week 2022

We have been celebrating National Careers Week, with a host of visiting speakers and resources for senior pupils. S1-S5 pupils all took part in a Careers-based lesson during their Citizenship period.

Monday 7 March

The week started with a Senior School careers-focused assembly, introducing National Careers Week (#NCW2022) and discussing subject choices and transferable skills.

Tuesday 8 March

Motivational career-inspired quotes were displayed around campus, showing a host of quotes relating to adulthood:

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”

“Do what you love and success will follow. Passion is the fuel behind a successful career”

Thursday 10 March

Ian Murray, MP for Edinburgh South, joined the Higher Politics class. He fielded questions on Labour policy, Ukraine, and general aspects of UK politics. Thank you to Ian Murray for giving up his time to speak to the pupils.
