P3R joined the memorial service today to lay a wreath for The Dogs Trust to honour Greyfriars Bobby on the 150th anniversary of his death.
The memorial service took place in Greyfriars Kirkyard to honour the dog, whose story of devotion has become known across the world through several books and films. The Skye Terrier showed devotion to his ‘master’ John Gray by sitting by his grave for 14 years.
Pupils in the Junior school are learning about George Heriot’s surrounding neighbourhood and also about what “loyalty” means in RME.
Thank you to P3R and Mr Morrison, for taking part in the service.
