Throughout the year, S6 pupils develop a range of jewellery making techniques and processes, creating wearable pieces in brass, copper and silver.
Skills in piercing, shaping, texturising and soldering are explored in a series of skill builders, which are then developed through individual projects. See a few images of the finished items.

Heriot’s Sixth Year operates differently to other schools. We emphasise greater autonomy and independent learning to prepare our leavers for life after Heriot’s. We see this final year as a bridge to what lies beyond, which for most of our pupils means university.
