Elizabeth (P6), William (P4) and George (Nursery) joined Team Edinburgh from the Royal Hospital for Sick Children by taking part in a distance challenge over the summer to raise money for Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity .
The event ran from 6th July – 31st July with the challenge to “Lap the Map” racing Team Glasgow from Glasgow Children’s Hospital, aiming to raise as much money as possible. The original challenge distance of 5,000km, the length of the Scottish Coastline, was completed in just 3 days so the challenge was increased to “Lap the World” covering over 50,000km.
Elizabeth, William and George were extremely dedicated and walked/ran 5km every single day from city, to hills, to sea and back!
Together, the team completed a distance of 69,283km and raised a phenomenal amount of over £120,000.
