S3 pupil, Lachlan, travelled to Holland last weekend, to compete in the International Diving Competition in Eindhoven. Representing Team Scotland, Lachlan competed in four events; U15 Platform, U15 1m Springboard, U15 3m Springboard and U18 3m Synchro. Lachlan performed very well and managed to finish 4th and 5th in 1m Springboard and Platform event.
He, impressively, achieved three PBs in the 3m Springboard, which lead him to win Gold, 15 points ahead of his second placed competitor. In the Synchro dive, Lachlan and his teammate brought home another Gold for Team Scotland, which added to Team Scotland’s five other Golds, one Silver and three Bronze medals.
Lachlan was one of the youngest in a strong field, and set himself a target to reach the finals in each event, which he impressively achieved.
