Heriot’s Cross Country Club brilliantly defended its national title in the boys’ Group B category in the 2020 Scottish Schools Cross Country Championships. Led home by Angus (6th), fine runs from Harry (10th), Angus (35th) and Tommy (44th) ensured the team retained their title for a second consecutive year. Pippa, racing in the Group A girls’ race, was the individual winner in a dominant performance at Hopetoun House.
The performances of Angus Wright and Harry also qualified the duo for the Scottish Schools team at the Home International.
But the biggest cheer of the day was reserved for Daniel, running his last race for Heriot’s, whose gallant finish in the Group A boys’ race, anchored a quartet of Callum, Noah and Lachlanto win the silver team prize.
