On the final Thursday of term, all pupils in S2 learnt more about the huge range of career opportunities within the Creative Industries. Pupils heard from 3 speakers, Helena Good, from Edinburgh College, Paul Kerlaff, from Napier University, and Charlie Bell, from Whitespace. They also attended two presentations, from a selection of 8, delivered by former pupils and friends of Heriot’s, who are involved in career paths within the Creative Industries: Tiffany Bachelet (Art & Design MA student – Mechanical Engineering); Megan Baker (Costume Designer); Alex Cleator (Product Designer); Cameron Mackay (Photographer and Filmmaker); Jon Millard (Architect); Lorna Sinclair (Artist); Mark Thomson (Artistic Director – Theatre) and Anna Wright (Fashion Designer).
We are very grateful to all of our speakers and presenters, who very kindly volunteered to come along to this event. Pupils gained real insight into the Creative Industries, responded enthusiastically to the speakers and left the afternoon inspired!
