Within this context working in partnership can range from accommodating undergraduates who are contemplating a career in teaching to hosting international delegations. In addition, we will also give consideration to assisting both undergraduates and postgraduates with research. Requests pertaining to the latter should also be made to the Junior School Depute or the Senior School Depute as appropriate.
Individual Visits
If you are a graduate or a final year under-graduate who is contemplating a career in teaching and would appreciate the opportunity to visit a particular Department or the Junior School please submit a CV and a short (200 words) statement outlining your objectives for the visit. These should be addressed to the Senior School Depute or Deputy Head of Junior School via opportunities@george-heriots.com or by post to the Principal’s PA. Please note that due to the high volume of enquiries we receive it is normal practice to offer, where possible, one day of classroom observation; though in certain circumstances it may be possible to extend this.
All other requests e.g. colleagues already in the teaching profession and internships should be submitted by a covering letter and CV addressed to the Depute or Deputy Head of Junior School via opportunities@george-heriots.com or by post to the Principal’s PA.

Senior School Group Visits
If you are responsible for the co-ordination of a group visit (of students or colleagues) please submit your request by covering letter. This letter should contain key information relating to the rationale/purpose for the visit, proposed date(s), number of colleagues/pupils and ages of the pupils and any other information that you anticipate will be helpful for us to know. These should be addressed to the Depute via opportunities@george-heriots.com or by post to the Principal’s PA.
