Curling Success

The curling team recently participated in the James Young Competition.  This is the Murrayfield qualifying round for the Scottish Schools Finals.  The first two qualifying matches were on Sunday 21st December and the team had spectacular wins over Craigmount High (17 -0) and even more impressively Watson’s (18-0). The last matches were played over the weekend of the 24th and 25th of January and the team won three out of five matches, losing narrowly to both Mary Erskine’s and Stewart’s Melville.  This resulted in Mary Erskine’s qualifying first and George Heriot’s qualifying second, therefore we are through to the Finals which take place in March.  The team comprised of Colin Mouat (S5), Bruce Mouat (S3), Rowena Kerr (S3) and Iain Stewart (S6).
