Junior School Activities Weeks

The Junior School runs three residential experiences for pupils.

In P5, the children stay for three days at Lendrick Muir Residential Centre near Rumbling Bridge. There, they tackle Problem Solving activities, Games and Challenges, all specially designed to strengthen relationships and enhance curricular Personal and Social Development lessons.

In P6, the year group spends five nights at the Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre in Dunoon and experiences a terrific programme of outdoor activities designed to give pupils the opportunity to work together, tackle physical challenges such as climbing and rafting and to develop leadership skills.

In P7, the children travel to Holland for a six day programme that provides opportunity to experience a different European country and culture. There are strong links with our History curriculum (e.g. a visit to Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam) and this is also a chance for the children to interact with each other away from their regular surroundings.
