Food Services Assistants - 4 Posts

We are looking for four experienced Food Services Assistant to join our Hospitality and Catering team which provides a full range of catering services for the Heriot's Community including pupils, staff, governors and visitors.

Hours of Work:

Post 1 & 2 - Monday to Friday; 11.15am - 2.15pm (15 hours per week)
Post 3 - Monday to Friday; 8.00am - 2.30pm (30 hours per week)
Post 4 - Monday; 7.00am - 3.00pm; Tuesday - Friday; 8.00am - 3.00pm (33.5 hours per week)

We welcome applications from interested candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience of working as a Barista in a busy environment is required
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
• Willingness to undertake training in line with the department/School requirements
• A polite manner and a calm and professional attitude

Salary Information:
Post 1 & 2 - Actual Salary - £5,452 per annum (£15,700 FTE/£8.16 per hour)
Post 3 - Actual Salary - £10,905 per annum (£15,700 FTE/£8.16 per hour)
Post 4 - Actual Salary - £12,223 per annum (£15,700 FTE/£8.16 per hour)

However, George Heriot's pays the Living Wage as set by the Living Wage Foundation as of 1st April 2018. Therefore, any employee receiving a basic pay rate of less than £8.75 per hour will receive a discretionary, non-contractual enhancement to the Living Wage level.
