The Management Teams

The structure of Heriot's senior management reflects the School's combination of primary and secondary sections closely integrated on one site to form a vibrant and strong all-age school community.  

The Headmaster is responsible to the Governors for the overall strategic leadership, development and effective management of the whole School in accordance with the Heriot's values and aims.  The Headmaster leads a Strategic Leadership Group for the whole School consisting of the Head of Junior School, the Head of Senior School, the Treasurer of George Heriot's Trust, the Director of Admissions, Marketing and Development, the Head of Support Services and the Director of IT.  There are separate management teams for Senior and Junior Schools, led respectively by the Head of Senior School and the Head of Junior School, who have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of their respective schools and for promoting their ethos and development in line with the vision and strategy for the whole of Heriot's.
