All pupils take pride in belonging to
one of the School's four Houses - Castle, Greyfriars, Lauriston
or Raeburn - and participate enthusiastically in the Junior
School House competitions that take place each session.

There is a wide array of House competition
ranging from the annual House Music event to Inter-House
sporting challenges such as Swimming, from Inter-House General
Knowledge to the Inter-House Fashion Show.

On a daily basis pupils can earn points
for their House by demonstrating good work, a positive attitude,
cooperation, helpfulness and support of others. At the annual
Junior School Prizegiving Ceremony the Inter-House Shield
is awarded to the victorious Junior School House.

More important, of course, than Inter-House
competitions are the pastoral benefits to the pupils of
their working together within their House groups with pupils
of different ages and interests. Our House system is, in
fact, an integral part of the positive ethos that exists
in the Junior School.
