After School and Holiday Care
The After School Club provides a high quality and caring service to children attending George Heriot’s (Nursery to P7) and is led by the After School Care Coordinator, Mrs Deirdre McGhie. It is able to provide a wide range of enjoyable and stimulating activities to children of all ages.
The Club operates on the School campus throughout the year (with the exception of the Christmas Holidays and Easter Weekend) from the end of the school day during term time and all day during the school holidays. Children may access the club for morning, afternoon or full day sessions.
It offers a range of sessions to accommodate the various finishing times within the Junior School and to allow children to attend extra-curricular activities.
The children enjoy a number of activities including sports and games, art and craft, books, music and imaginative play as well as computer activities and outdoor play. During holiday time children can attend outings from the club to a variety of locations, recent examples being Megabowl, Fruit Picking and Blair Drummond Safari Park.
The Club also has a homework facility for children in the Upper Primary.
Annual registration at the After School Club runs from the start of the School session in August and allows access to all the above activities either on a regular or “ad hoc” basis.
