Choices For Life Concert
Last month, P7 attended the Choices for Life Concert. The programme is designed to prepare pupils for secondary school and the choices and opportunities they may face. It provides information and guidance to help young people resist peer pressure, and illustrates the benefits of choosing a healthy lifestyle that is free from harmful substances, including tobacco, alcohol and illegal drugs. Patrick Blood and Matthew Houliston of P7B report:
“The P7 of George Heriot's School and other schools in Edinburgh and the Lothians went to Ingliston. There we were learning about drugs and how dangerous they are with a story acted out by “Pace” a fantastic youth drama group. We also had a performance from the ‘McDonald Brothers’ from the X-Factor and Keith from the BBC One program “Any Dream Will Do!” After the performances we were all fully educated on drug safety! It had to be one of the best trips so far and lunch on the lawns made it even better!”
