Pipe Band News

Heriot’s pipers and drummers picked up 2^nd place in the Junior Mini Band event at the invitational competition hosted by George Watson’s College on Sunday 7^th March. The prize-winning band featured drummers Kirsty Dunbar (S2), Fraser Linklater (S1), Benedict Morrell (P7) and pipers Sunny Banerjee (S1), Colin Bathgate (S3), Alex Haley(S3), James Meiklejohn (S2) and Sandy Steven (S2).

Leading drummer Michael Gray (S4) was placed 4^th in the senior solo drumming event.  The full results in the band competitions were:

Other schools taking part in the competition were: Merchiston Castle, Glenalmond, Stewart’s Melville, Strathallan, The High School of Glasgow, Edinburgh Academy, Loretto, Preston Lodge, and St. Columba’s.
