Lacrosse, which originated hundreds of years ago with the Iroquois Indians, has today developed into a fast paced, high scoring game. Lacrosse is similar to other team sports, though the ball is propelled aerially by the use of a stick. Players must possess speed, agility and strength. Lacrosse was introduced in Edinburgh over a hundred years ago, since when it has spread through the UK, Australia, United States and Canada. Recently it has become popular in Germany, Czechoslovakia and throughout Asia.
