Curling
Scotland is the home of curling! This most sociable of games can be played by everyone, male or
female, from young children to people in their 80s or more so learning to curl is truly a "skill for life".
Curling is a winter sport, from September to April. The curling club meets on Tuesdays at 2:35pm in school. From here we either head to Murrayfield Curling Rink, where our practices take place, or we have a meeting to learn about the game and plan our competition tactics. The club takes part in three main competitions which take place on various Saturdays and Sundays throughout the first two terms.
All club members have the chance to play for the school (if they are good enough!), which brings the chance to meet other curlers and to travel to ice rinks around the country.
