Amnesty International
George Heriot's School has an active and vibrant Amnesty International group for students. We campaign in a wide variety of ways to highlight human rights abuses across the world. Some of the activities we have taken part in include fundraising initiatives to campaign to end violence against women; awareness raising assemblies on freedom from torture and slavery and regular letter writing activities to highlight individual cases of unfair imprisonment.
The group has lively discussions and debates and encourages all interested students to come and get involved.
