Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is offered from S3 upwards. All three levels of the Award (Bronze, Silver and 
Gold) are available, and ideally participants start with Bronze in S3, and work through to Gold in S5 or S6. The Award requires participants to undertake Volunteering, Skill and Physical Recreation activities in addition to the well known Expedition which lasts two days at Bronze and four days at Gold. Although mainly on foot, we are also able to support expeditions by bicycle. Training for the expedition is completed at school and the expeditions take place during the warmer and lighter months during the summer term.
